Last year, about 250 inspections of beauty salons licensed to provide various types of services were conducted across Russia. In almost half of the cases, the inspection results were unsatisfactory.
In addition to various minor violations, more serious ones were also identified. For example, about 30 medical products were not only not properly registered, but also banned for use in Russia. The quality of another seven products was found to be substandard.

Inspections were conducted in 33 regions of the country. The Tula, Sverdlovsk, Ryazan, Volgograd and Nizhny Novgorod regions were the "record holders" in terms of the number of violations (44 percent).
The head of Roszdravnadzor, Mikhail Murashko, noted that all institutions that practice procedures that damage the skin are required to have a special license for this type of activity, including beauty salons.
According to Murashko, on the electronic resource of Roszdravnadzor, users can find out whether a certain product is registered in our country and whether it has passed the quality examination for medical safety. In addition, there is a site where lists of rejected products and drugs are posted.
Mikhail Murashko believes that any medical organization that cares about people’s health is simply obliged to use the information provided by these resources.
Inspections of beauty salons by Rospotrebnadzor
The plan for future inspections is posted on the official website of Rospotrebnadzor annually at the beginning of January. In addition, no later than three days before the inspection, you will receive a written notification from the inspection organization.
Even if you are sure that your salon is impeccable in all respects, you should still prepare for the inspection. But keep in mind: the registry of inspections contains information only about scheduled visits by Rospotrebnadzor representatives. An inspection can happen unexpectedly, and, as a rule, there is a reason for this.
Most often, such inspections of beauty salons are provoked by complaints from clients, but even in such a situation, entrepreneurs are usually warned a day before the inspector arrives. The exception is force majeure circumstances such as mass infection of clients with dangerous diseases.
Please note: inspectors are very strict about compliance with the Consumer Protection Act. They pay special attention to the following points:
availability of a certificate, license and other necessary information about the salon in the “consumer corner”;
availability of a properly completed complaints book;
compliance of the salon premises with all required standards;
correct preparation of price lists for services;
compliance with sanitary standards.
As soon as you receive notification of the upcoming inspector's visit, prepare all the necessary documentation according to the list provided by Rospotrebnadzor. Notify the employees about the inspection and give the necessary instructions to the administrator. Explain to him the algorithm of actions in case the salon manager is not on site.
