How to organize control over the work of employees depending on the specifics of their work
Control of employees' work should be carried out not only in relation to the results, but also in relation to the process itself - this is the right way to effective achievement management. But the importance of each type of control is determined by whose achievements we want to manage. Guided by this condition, all management personnel can be divided into 3 groups:
Employees performing scheduled work
This group includes workers who devote most of their time to solving typical business problems (usually they work on a computer). First of all, we are talking about call center employees, office workers (accountants, economists, operators, etc.), editors, etc.

In order to manage the achievements of this category of personnel, it is necessary to monitor the work of employees on the computer, checking the business process itself, its competent execution, since it is compliance with the regulations that is an indicator of effectiveness.
Employees performing unscheduled work
This group includes employees who spend most of their time solving typical (non-creative) tasks. These could be, for example, IT and HR department employees who use and do not use a computer.
In order to manage the achievements of this category of personnel, it is necessary to check the result, since it is the key to achieving the goal. The employee has the right to independently choose the tactics for solving the assigned task. Of course, you should not "let the execution process slide", but this should not be the primary task of control, since it is intended to diagnose failures and identify best practices.
Employees performing creative work
This group includes "creatives". First of all, we are talking about middle (and higher) level managers, designers, developers, planners, etc.
It is quite difficult to control the work of employees in this group, since in this case it is not worth "taking under supervision" the process and it is impossible to give an unambiguous assessment of the result. The opinion that managing the achievements of employees performing creative work is a real art, not a science, is becoming increasingly popular.
